On April 20, Caucasus International University Faculty of Business and Technology was visited by the head of the Department of Tourism at Chandigarh University, Professor Sandeep Guleria within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed with Chandigarh University (India).
At the meeting with the students, the professor discussed the peculiarities of the tourism product formation. In addition, the importance of the product, creation challenges and priorities, issues of its realization and stimulation were highlighted. The speaker also spoke about the characteristics of India as a world tourist destination.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held with Marika Klidiashvili, Dean of CIU Faculty of Business and Technology. The meeting was also attended by Nana Gadelia, the head of strategic projects of the faculty, Lali Mikeladze, the supervisor of the Undergraduate Program in Tourism, and Svetlana Kirakosian, the coordinator of the International Relations Department.
At the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of mutual cooperation and future perspectives. It should be noted that the Indian professor will take part in the “Tourism Week” organized by the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University in May.
For reference, Chandigarh University, with about 60 thousand students, is among the top three private universities in India.
