Public lectures and debates were held within the framework of the Green Economy and Sustainable Development Week, organized by Caucasus International University, on November 22.
The first lecture of the day was led by Nino Latsabidze, Deputy Head of the International Relations and European Integration Department of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, on the topic: “European Green Agreement”. The next lecture was delivered by Nino Tabatadze, Acting Head of Education Projects Service of the Center for Environmental Information and Education, on the topic: “Climate Change and Sustainable Development”.
The day continued with a Karl Popper Format Debate on green economy issues, led by Bakur Khubulava, the head of CIU Intellect Club.
In the debates, affirmative and negative teams participated with the following composition: Tamar Gogoladze, Nugzar Sharadze, Giorgi Lomuashvili (Affirmative); Maka Basilidze, Megi Jomidava, Ilia Batiashvili (Negative).
The affirmative team won the game, and Nugzar Sharadze became the best speaker. The participants of the debate were given symbolic gifts, and the winning team was awarded with a cash prize.
