Caucasus International University shares the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the institutional level and promotes its implementation through the active involvement of scientific staff and students. Therefore, the university, together with partner private and state organizations, implements projects in the direction of supporting sustainable development goals.
The Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University is launching the Green Economy Ambassadors Program, the goal of which is to raise awareness about how to use natural resources wisely, reduce negative environmental impact, and promote green skills among young people.
“Green Economy and Sustainable Development Week” organized by Caucasus International University started on November 21, within the framework of the program.
The week was opened by Marika Kldiashvili, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University, who placed emphasis on the importance of the green economy and the events planned within the week.
The first lecture of the day was devoted to an English-language public lecture by the founder and director of Eliots, Jean-Marc Stavroulakis, on the topic: “Harvest Change: Food Waste Reduction and Transformational Initiatives in Georgia”.
Vakho Kochoradze, CENN project manager presented with the seminar topic: “Green Economy - Sustainable Development” at the second meeting of the day.
The week events are attended by students, academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Business and Technology.
