A joint meeting of Foreign Relations and European Integration Committees with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria to Georgia Arad Benkö was held at Shota Rustaveli Hall of Georgian Parliament (Tbilisi) on October 22, 2018. The guest discussed the priorities of Austria, as the Presidency of the Council of European Union as well as Georgian-Austrian relations. Alika Guchua, Coordinator of Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security, postgraduate students – Irakli Gabelia, Eter Khanjaliashvili, Bakur Khubulava and undergraduate student of the program in International Relations – Aisha Taniergulieva attended the meeting on behalf of CIU.
The evening was opened by an exhibition dedicated to Bertha von Suttner, the first female Nobel Peace Prize winner. The concluding part was in the format of question-responses.
