On February 9, an international scientific conference on “Innovations and Entrepreneurship” organized by Caucasus International University was opened at Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi.
Conference participants were welcomed by: Marika Kldiashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University, Head of the conference project, Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector of Caucasus International University, Head of the Scientific Committee of the conference, Sesili Gogiberidze, Head of the Scientific Research Department of Caucasus International University, Mariam Lashkhi, First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Nodar Papukashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Archil Karaulashvili, Director General of the European Union General Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Teimuraz Dochviri, Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, Mikheil Dundua, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia, Tornike Jobava, Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency, Irakli Lekvinadze, Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Protection Agency, Nino Kvantrishvili, Deputy Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Georgian Network, and Shorena Kurdadze, Deputy Head of the Scientific Research Department of Caucasus International University, project coordinator.
The representatives of the academic field from Georgia, Spain, Estonia, Turkey and Italy made presentations at the plenary session of the conference. Their papers were about modern trends in entrepreneurship development, innovative approaches and digital technologies. In addition, emphasis was placed on current projects and technological production in the direction of financial education in Georgia.
Please note that the international scientific conference “On Innovations and Entrepreneurship” will continue until February 11. The second day of the conference will be held at Caucasus International University, where 5 industry sections and a fair of entrepreneurs will be presented, and on the third day scientific activities will be hosted by Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.
The goal of the high-level scientific event organized by CIU is to facilitate the development and internationalization of the latest scientific research on innovation and entrepreneurship in Georgia, as well as to deepen cooperation between the academic, public and business sectors and promote it among young scientists.
About 140 representatives of different countries and universities are involved in the conference, as well as state and private business structures of Georgia participate in the work of the conference.
The project is financed by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, and Caucasus International University is the host of the event, the leading and co-sponsoring organization of the project.
The following organizations are involved in the conference as co-participating organizations: School of Entrepreneurship University of Alcalá (Spain) and Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany); Project partners are: “Make in Georgia” agency, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Association (SMEDA), UN Global Compact Network Georgia, financial education portal “Finedu” and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.
