Information Management –English Language Training Was Conducted at CIU

English language training – Information Management was organized by CIU International Relations Department on May 7-10, 2019.

The training was conducted by Rita Jakutiene and Daiva Civilkiene, Professors at the Faculty of Management and Communications at CIU partner Siauliai State College. Besides the training, the speakers provided students with information concerning Siauliai State College and about Lithuania in general.

The intensive training course was focused on developing techniques and skills in information management, which included such issues as:

• Selecting strategy and instruments for finding information;
• Planning information search process and determining its consistency;
• Adopting controlled dictionaries;
• Using scientific informational resources;
• Informational behavior in international cultural aspect;
• The role of foreign language knowledge in seeking information;
• Thesaurus.

18 participants of the training were awarded certificates upon the completion of the course.

The professors met CIU Rector, Mr. Kakhaber Kordzaia after the training. They discussed the directions of the existing collaboration between CIU and Siauliai State College and new opportunities.

It is worth mentioning that the training was implemented within the framework of Erasmus+ program.
