Debate Club of CIU Faculty of Social Sciences organized the final round of the Karl Popper Debate with the resolution: “The Church Must Intervene in State Policy” on March 25.
Students of Undergraduate Programs in International Relations, as well as Journalism participated in the debate: Affirmative Phoenix - Besik Tavartkiladze, Kristine Kukchishvili, Natia Abuashvili Negative - Sazrisi - Guram Liluashvili, Tamar Okujava, Maka Basilidze.
The panel of judges of the debate included: Vakhtang Maisaia, Doctor of Political Science, Supervisor of CIU Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security; Giorgi Pareshishvili, Doctor of Political Science, Advisor to the Rector, and Beka Managadze, Doctor of Political Science.
The final round of the debate was moderated by the head of CIU Intellect Club, Bakur Khubulava.
After passing the relevant stages, by the decision of the panel of judges, “Phoenix” won both in the final round and with the total points of two rounds.
At the end of the event, Nana Amiranashvili, the Dean of CIU Faculty of Social Sciences and Alika Guchua, the Supervisor of the Undergraduate Program in International Relations awarded the winners with relevant certificates and “Biblus” Vouchers.
