Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Caucasus International University (CIU) and Junior Achievement Georgia (JA Georgia), students from CIU Faculty of Business and Technology, who are also the members of the Business Incubator program, are participating for the second time in the project “Building Through Social Entrepreneurship”.
Social enterprise proposals: “Social Enterprise Canvas Business Model” and “Social Enterprise Charm Ban” have been already submitted by the team in order to participate in the competition. Following their applications, the groups were given opportunity to engage and continue the social enterprise acceleration phase and obtain grant funding.
On November 21, Caucasus International University hosted a Business Incubator meeting and a training “Accelerator X - Social Entrepreneurship” was held for the members of the team involved in the grant project. The training was led by mentor Ia Nadirashvili.
Within the framework of the project “Building through Social Entrepreneurship”, upon completing the social entrepreneurship training, young people will have the opportunity to implement an idea, move to the stage of social enterprise acceleration, actually launch a successful social enterprise, participate in various competitions and obtain funding to expand their company. The project provides grants ranging from 400 to 2,000 euros (equivalent in GEL).
It is noteworthy that the memorandum signed with Junior Achievement Georgia provides the opportunity to implement a number of interesting activities and student projects in the future as well.
