The presentation of the book " Wild Grapevine in Georgia " was held in the Grapevine and Wine Hall of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia on April 27.
The book is a collection of scientific and popular articles on the study of wild grapevines in Georgia. It discusses the results of ampelographic, phenological, oenological and eno-carpological studies of wild grapevines cultivated in collection vineyard in Jigaura.
The book is edited by David Maghradze, Head of the Viticulture and Winemaking Department of the National Wine Agency, CIU Professor, and Osvaldo Failla, Professor at the University of Milan (Department of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences).
Within the framework of the event, Levan Ujmajuridze, CIU Professor, co-author of the book and head of the grantee organization - Agricultural Scientific Research Center, placed emphasis on the significance of the project and future visions, in the implementation of which Caucasus International University will again play a key role.
The book co-authors from CIU are the representatives of the Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking: Shengeli Kikilashvili, Irma Mdinaradze, Olani Gotsiridze and Tamar Maghradze.
The presentation was attended by the Chancellor of Caucasus International University - Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, Rector - Kakhaber Kordzaia, Dean of the Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking - Olani Gotsiridze and the administrative staff of the Faculty.
The book is prepared with the financial support of Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation.
