A meeting was held at Caucasus International University within the framework of Indian Government program - Open House for Indian Women on May 6, 2019. The meeting was attended by Shambhu Amitabh, Second Secretary of the Embassy of India in Armenia (it also covers Georgia) and his wife Nisha Amitabh.
Shambhu Amitabh, a Second Secretary of the Embassy, placed emphasis on women’s condition in India and the protection of their rights during his speech.
Sesili Gogiberidze, head of CIU Department of Scientific Researches also made a presentation at the meeting. She introduced the current situation in Georgia regarding women rights, highlighted their involvement in decision making and recent achievements in this direction.
The invited guests also focused on their experience during the meeting and discussed women’s active engagement in various spheres.
The event was organized by non-governmental organization Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future (Head – Darpan Prasher), Embassy of India and the university at Caucasus International University.
