Eter Khanjaliashvili, a graduate of Undergraduate Program in International Relations and Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security at Caucasus International University, has been employed by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) at the position of Security Operations Assistant (OSCE Mission to Georgia).
Her duty at the position is to assess the security environment in Georgia, analyze current events and ensure the safety of mission members.
Eter Khanjaliashvili was actively involved in the educational projects of the organization before joining the OSCE Office. In particular, she studied at the OSCE Summer School, Autumn Academy, etc. She decided to continue professional cooperation with them after the organization announced an interesting vacancy. She was appointed to this position as the result of shortlisting candidates and an interview with a security expert.
“I have invested a lot of work in my education and development prior to occupying this position. It is noteworthy that I am the youngest member of the OSCE Office mission in Georgia and I think I was very lucky to have the opportunity to gain a lot of experience from such successful people” - stated Eter Khanjaliashvili.
She also placed emphasis on the impact of CIU Undergraduate Program in International Relations / Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security on her success – “Of course, these programs have provided the invaluable knowledge needed to properly analyze political events using multidisciplinary methods.” At the same time, my specialization is the security of the Euro-Atlantic region, and this has had an even more positive impact on my application” – she noted.
Eter Khanjaliashvili advises students and graduates to maintain enthusiasm and fighting efficiency, no matter what obstacles you encounter on the road to success in the direction of professional employment in international relations. Furthermore, not to stay behind the current events in Georgia or internationally in order to be able to properly analyze the situation and be qualified specialists in their field.
While discussing her future plans, she focused on more professional growth and development. “I think conformity is the most destructive thing that can happen to a person, and therefore I always try to develop. I believe that my generation should work twice as much for the better future of our country and I will do my best for that”, said Eter Khanjaliashvili.
