On February 9, the fourth day of the “Winter School of Diplomacy and International Relations” offered by Caucasus International University opened with the lecture of the head of the “Strategic Institute of Management”, Associate Professor of CIU, Petre Mamradze, on the topic: “Overview of Georgia’s Foreign Policy in the 90s of the 20th Century”.
The speaker discussed the peripeteia of the restoration of Georgia’s independence, the political situation at that time and the challenges facing the country, and in the final part of the lecture, he answered the audience’s questions.
The second lecture of the day was delivered by Associate Professor Alika Guchua, Head of the Undergraduate Program in International Relations at CIU, on the topic: “Global Threats Facing States in the 21st Century”.
The speaker discussed the number and classification of threats, various security mechanisms, terrorism and other global challenges, and later answered questions from the audience.
We would like to remind you that in the “Winter School of Diplomacy and International Relations”, around 50 students from different universities throughout Georgia take part. For 5 days, practicing lecturers and experts in the field give lectures on foreign policy, diplomacy, security, conflicts and other relevant field issues, and the last day of the school is dedicated to field activities.
