Caucasus International University “Winter School of Diplomacy and International Relations” was devoted to the topic of NATO and the European Union on February 8.
“Georgia and NATO” - Natia Gvenetadze, the senior advisor of the National Security Council, delivered a lecture for the students of the school. The speaker discussed function and tasks of NATO, NATO-Georgia relations, security policy, existing challenges and prospects, and provided answers to the audience’s questions in the second part of the meeting.
The second lecture of the day – “Georgia and the European Union” - was conducted by Ekaterine Kardava, the chairperson of the Association “Europe Time”.
The speaker reviewed the history of the establishment and development of the European Union, its mission and objectives, Georgia-EU relations and current perspectives, and at the end she answered the questions of the students of the school.
We would like to remind you that around 50 students from different universities throughout Georgia take part in the “Winter School of Diplomacy and International Relations”. For 5 days, practicing lecturers and experts in the field give lectures on foreign policy, diplomacy, security, conflicts and other relevant field issues, and the last day of the school is dedicated to field activities.
