The Nineteenth International Scientific Conference for Young Researchers was held at the University of Warsaw (Warsaw, Poland) on May 22-23.
Professor Vakhtang Maisaia, head of the Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security and Postgraduate Program in Global Politics and Security Studies offered in English language, Associate Professor Alika Guchua, head of the Undergraduate Program in International Relations at Caucasus International University, and Ani Gagnidze, Tatia Khuntua and Bakur Khubulava PhD students of the Doctoral Program in Political Science, presented their papers at the conference.
CIU delegation was actively involved in the discussions held regarding the security issues of the Caucasus region and the strengthening of strategic relations between Georgia and the European Union.
Within the scope of the visit, Professor Vakhtang Maisaia, who, at the same time, was the moderator and head of one of the conference panels, had meetings with representatives of the high political level of the Republic of Poland, senators and MEPs. On the second day of the conference, CIU representatives, led by Alika Guchua, paid tribute to the memory of Georgian officers. Within the scope of the same ceremony, the picture of priest-martyr Grigol Peradze was presented to the university.
Caucasus International University delegation expresses gratitude towards the organizers of the conference, Professor of the Center for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw, Jan Malitsky, and the head of the Caucasus Studies Department of the same center, Professor Davit Kolabaia.
