On May 17, the presentation of the project – “Business Research in Support of Sustainable Development” - was held at the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University.
Tatia Bregvadze, the head of the Marketing Research Lab and the project, discussed the content and the planned stage of the project during the presentation. The project aims to develop the research and analytical skills of students and entrants, as well as to increase awareness among students and entrants regarding the importance of reducing food losses and environmental issues for ensuring the sustainable development of the country.
Marika Kldiashvili, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University, Iva Chkonia, the Head of the Georgian Distributors Business Association and Mariam Tevdoradze, the Head of the business services component of the USAID Agricultural Development Program gave a welcome speech at the event. Special presentations were made by: Ia Nadirashvili, General Manager of Store Next Georgia, Retail Consultant and Jumber Maruashvili, Policy Advisor of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.
Together with administrative/academic staff and students of Caucasus International University, pupils of Tbilisi “Green School”, V. Komarov 199th Physics-Mathematical School and the 2nd Public School of Tkibuli attended the presentation.
After the presentation, the guests visited the University Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking, where they viewed the faculty infrastructure and participated in the tasting of wines produced by the university winery “Ethno Okami”.
