II International Trans-Caucasian Congress – ITC – 2016 on Photo-Dermatology and Skin Cancer was held by the initiative of Lali Mekokishvili, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Caucasus International University at the hotel “Radisson Blu Iveria” on 27-29 October, 2016. Caucasus International University was actively involved in the organization of the congress.
Caucasus International University Rector, Kakhaber Kordzaia delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the congress and highlighted the importance of the congress and the involvement of CIU in it.
International experts, heads of university clinics and professors from Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Germany, Belgium, USA, Lithuania, Latvia, South Africa, etc were invited to participate in the congress as lecturers and trainers. Young scholars were given an opportunity to deliver speeches and top three specialists were awarded grants.
Practical courses, thematic seminars, plenary sessions and demonstrations were offered during the congress days.
Prestigious international organizations - “International Society of Dermatologists” (ISD), “International Dermoscopy Society” (IDS), Pan-Europen Company “Euro-Melanoma” and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation supported the congress. In addition, ITC-2016 as a significant scientific event was awarded Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation grant and became accredited by European Postgraduate Council and Regulation Agency for Georgian Ministry of Health.
Georgian and International participants were awarded certificates after the completion of II International Trans-Caucasian Congress – ITC – 2016 on Photo-Dermatology and Skin Cancer.
