The Central Election Commission of Georgia and Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training Centre held a seminar for Caucasus International University students.
The seminar was conducted by Irakli Iordanidze, a lecturer.
The presenter introduced to students the history of elections in Georgia, international standards, human rights public declaration, international act of civil and political rights, election regulations, elective public agencies, international commitments and other significant details.
Furthermore, the lecturer placed emphasis on the rights of people with disabilities, voting security and free will.
The seminar was attended by about 50 CIU students from various faculties.
The above mentioned project has been held at Caucasus International University since 2013 in order to raise awareness of young voters and every participant has been awarded certificates.
The seminar was organized by Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training Centre and Caucasus International University Career Development Centre.
