Fourteen students from various Georgian universities (Caucasus International University, Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University, Free University, Georgian University, Akaki Tsereteli State University) did a-month course in Persian language at Allameh Tabataba’I University in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran on 29 July, 2016.
Caucasus International University participated in the 83rd educational exchange program for the first time this year.
Currently 2nd-year students Miranda Kobalia (lecturer Maya Kapanadze) specializing in international relations, CIU faculty of social sciences participated in the above mentioned program. It is worth mentioning that among the fourteen Georgian students only Miranda was a first-year student, who has successfully taken the above mentioned exchange program together with other participants.
The travel expenses of the students were covered by SAAD foundation and supported by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mr. Mojtaba Qamrafand, head of the cultural department of the embassy was the initiator. Upon the completion of the program the university administration awarded students with certificates and souvenirs.
210 students from 43 countries participated in the above mentioned exchange program. The countries are: USA, Great Britain, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iraq, India, Tajikistan, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc.
The participants saw the sights of Teiran within the framework of the educational course and visited Isfahan.
