Brief Description
MA candidates are required to demonstrate minimal skills and knowledge in the following:
- History of International Relations;
- History and Structure of International Organizations;
- Georgian Political System;
- Recent History of International Politics: World War II, “Cold War”;
- General Information on International Security.
Essays:
- Discuss the essence of global influence centres or super states and their impact on world politics (state your opinions and evaluations on current international political events);
- Moral and ethical factors on international relations processes (provide your argument);
- Discuss the phenomenon of communism and its impact on world political processes (describe your viewpoints);
- State the role of power in the general context of international relations processes (provide your viewpoints and evaluations);
- Define NATO and its role in the strengthening of international security (provide concrete facts);
- Discuss the reasons for the creation of UN and its role in international security processes (describe your opinions);
- The essence of world security and how its components are defined (state your viewpoint and provide arguments);
- International terrorism: New or old challenge of the 21st century??? (state your opinion and provide arguments).
