A Four-day course of lectures on the topic – “Arbitration Law” has been held at the university on the basis of the memorandum signed between Caucasus International University and LTD “Dispute Resolution Centre”.
The first lecture was held on 25 May, 2016. The meeting was opened by Ilia Tsiklauri, the dean of Law Faculty and introduced the university to the representatives of DRC.
Lasha Nodia, a presenter placed emphasis on the information about the centre at the beginning of his lecture.
The students of Law faculty gained information on many important issues and one of them was the advantage of arbitrage in comparison to court trial, in addition, they learnt what kind of controversies are discussed by arbitrage, what are the necessary and recommended elements of arbitration agreement, what is required in order the form and content of the arbitration agreement to meet the legal requirements of a country.
The course of lectures offered by Dispute Resolution Centre DRC will be held in four stages. The next meeting will be held on 31 May, 2016 at 15:00. The event venue is room 101, CIU. The lecture will again be delivered by Lasha Nodia.
