Irakli Iordanidze, a representative of Central Election Commission held a seminar on the topic – “Informed Young Voter” in order to raise awareness of electors at Caucasus International University on 13 May, 2016.
The presenter introduced the following issues to students: international standards of elections, principles of election law, international obligations and human rights.
In addition, students gained information about elective public agencies and parties involved in elections.
Irakli Iordanidze showed a specially prepared video in order to visualize observers’ functions or the voting process.
The seminar was attended by about 70 first and second- year students.
The above mentioned seminar was implemented within the framework of the project of Georgian Central Election Commission Training Centre – “Elections and the Essence of Participating in Elections”.
Upon the completion of the seminar students were awarded certificates.
