University has 11 faculties, 4 schools and 13000 students of 80 nationalities.
The university is a member of European Universities Association (EUA), International Association of Universities (IAU), Community of Mediterranean University (CMU), United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and a full member of many other important organizations as well. The academic programs of University are accredited on international level by such organizations as ABET, TEDQUAL and ASIIN are.
During the visit, within the framework of the universities future cooperation was reached an agreement on 3 important points:

• Participation opportunity of CIU students in EMU- Summer English Learning School;
• One - term exchange program (in English Language) for junior students;
• Special program for CIU administration staff;
