Aims and Functions of Legal Clinic
- The Legal Clinic aims to equip students with essential skills required for a lawyer as well as foster legal thinking skill. Additionally, develop students’ social responsibility while advancing professional skills;
- The primary goal of the Legal Clinic program is to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in the legal field to practice. By participating in the legal clinic program, students enhance their analytical, research, and intellectual skills, which are crucial for their professional development;
- The Legal cClinic program focuses on the study and application of practical and lawyering skills as well as the development of legal thinking;
- Within this framework of the Legal Clinic, students engage in practical courses designed by the Legal Clinic, which help them develop professional and practical skills;
- The Legal cClinic program places emphasis on discussing specific, real cases. Following theoretical training, students are required to serve socially vulnerable citizens and other interested individuals by providing free consultations, representation, and various types of legal assistance, all under the guidance of qualified lawyers and lecturers;
- The Legal Clinic program offers services to a diverse population, including minors, foreign students, migrants, refugees, displaced persons, patients, individuals with disabilities, their family members, and other groups;
- Additionally, the program establishes business contacts with various national and international organizations, higher education institutions, and government bodies;
- While providing services within the Legal Clinic program, confidential information regarding the circumstances and conditions of the case is fully protected from students, lecturers, and lawyers alike;
- Proceedings in the Legal Clinic program are conducted using specially designed forms (see Appendix #2). Students are not permitted to give legal advice without the supervision of qualified professionals.
