Caucasus International University is pleased to announce two-day training course – Neonatal Resuscitation.
The course covers the foundations of basic and refined neonatal resuscitation from the birth till the end of the neonatal period. The course is designed for neonatologists, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, resuscitologists, nurses of Resuscitology and Neonatology Departments, as well as the seniors and residents of medical educational institutions.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program materials are based on the guidelines for heart and lung resuscitation issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA).
Theoretical foundations of neonatal resuscitation will be discussed during the course. The main emphasis is placed on the development of practical skills and team work throughout the course.
The aim of the course is to teach participants:
Main points of neonatal resuscitation;
Early stages of resuscitation;
Use of resuscitation equipment during positive-pressure ventilating of lungs;
Indirect cardiac massage;
Tracheal intubation;
Use of medicine during resuscitation;
Special conditions in newborns;
Resuscitation of premature neonates.
Trainer: Irina Tsirkvadze – Anesthesiologist-Resuscitologist, emergency physician, head of Emergency Department at a new children’s clinic, emergency physician at M. Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital, PALS, ACLS, ATLS provider, BLS, NRT, PHTLS provider.
Course duration – two days; on average – 12 hours, 6 hours per day;
Course fees – 135 GEL;
Certificates will be awarded upon the successful completion of the course.
The course date will be determined in agreement with the groups.
