Second-year students of the Undergraduate Program in Tourism at the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University organized an educational tour of Tbilisi for the freshmen. This initiative was the result of the activities planned at the “Tourism Laboratory”.
Throughout the day, students visited several iconic sites in the capital, including Porakishvili Hall, a traditional Georgian residential house typical of old Tbilisi; Darejani Palace (Sachino), an architectural monument built in 1776 for the wife of King Erekle II; and Abanotubani, one of oldest districts in Tbilisi, etc.
It is worth noting that the second-year students: Keti Karkashadze, Mariam Gogiashvili, Mariam Medoidze, Diana Gorgadze, Shamil Kochkiani and Soso Jikia successfully served as guides. It is significant that planning such student-led activities play a crucial role in enhancing knowledge and understanding as well as fostering socialization.
