On November 26, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Caucasus International University hosted a public lecture on the topic: “Military-Political Analysis of Armed Conflicts and Media Coverage of War.” The lecture was delivered by Irakli Aladashvili, the editor-in-chief of the military-analytical journal Arsenal, a military columnist for the newspaper Kviris Palitra, and a military blogger.
The speaker shared his professional experience with the audience and discussed both theoretical and practical aspects essential for military journalism. He placed emphasis on the critical rules of conduct and safety measures journalists must follow in conflict zones. Additionally, he introduced students to various types of ammunition and their characteristic features.
The meeting was conducted in an engaging question-and-answer format. Prior to the lecture, the guest and the audience were welcomed by Ekaterine Chalaganidze, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Caucasus International University; Alika Guchua, Head of the Undergraduate Program in International Relations; and Vakhtang Maisaia, Head of the Master’s Programs in International Relations and International Security/Global Politics and Security Studies.
