Caucasus International University and National and Corporate Security Training and Research Center held a joint scientific conference “National and Corporate Security” on March 28.
Up to 25 papers were presented in two sections of the scientific conference, which referred to intelligence, counterintelligence, cyber and other topical issues of national security. In addition, the working topics of the conference included the current issues of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration and international politics.
The conference was moderated by the supervisor of CIU Undergraduate Program in International Relations, Associate Professor Alika Guchua and the director of the National and Corporate Security Training and Research Center, CIU Associate Professor Davit Kukhalashvili.
The welcome speeches, together with the moderators, at the event were delivered by: Giorgi Fareshishvili, Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University; Dean of CIU Faculty of Social Sciences, Nana Amiranashvili; State and corporate security specialist-analyst, Tengiz Endeladze; Emzar Sabanadze, President of the National Association for the Protection of Human Rights and Reform of the Penal System under International Law; Guram Rekhviashvili, Head of the Georgian Intelligence Service in 1991-92, 1994-97.
The presentation of Davit Kukhalashvili’s monographs – “The Role of Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence Activities in State Governance, National and International Security” and “The Role of Intelligence Activities in the Decision-Making Process in Foreign Policy” - was also held at the scientific conference, which was published within the framework of the grant project of Caucasus International University.
Relevant certificates were awarded to the participants at the end of the conference.
