On March 6, a public lecture “Polish-Georgian International Relations: Politics, Culture, Transgression” was held at Caucasus International University. The event was organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The lecture was led by Marcin Olejnik, Doctor of Historical Science, PhD student in Politics at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland), former director of the Information Service of the Polish Council of Ministers.
Within the framework of the lecture, the speaker reviewed the history of Poland and Georgian-Polish relations both from recent history and from the modern era. He also presented the Polish-language book “The Dilemma of Modern Georgia” to the audience. The second part of the lecture was held in question-answer and discussion mode.
The public lecture was opened by the supervisor of CIU Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security, professor Vakhtang Maisaia. Supervisor of CIU Undergraduate Program in International Relations, ssociate Professor Alika Gechua took an active part in the course of the lecture and translation.
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Nana Amiranashvili, Vice Dean Ekaterine Chalaganidze, administration representatives and students attended the lecture.
