Niko Tatulashvili, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Georgia on Human Rights Protection, met Caucasus International University students on November 15.
At the event, the guest and the audience were welcomed by Giorgi Pareshishvili, CIU Advisor to Rector and George Khatidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law.
Within the framework of the meeting, Advisor to the Prime Minister placed emphasis on the positive recommendation of the European Commission regarding granting Georgia the status of a candidate country of the European Union and on the reforms implemented or planned in the field of human rights protection. At the meeting, the national strategy for the protection of human rights and the corresponding action plan of the government were mentioned, and in this regard, attention was focused on the issues of academic institutions and students’ involvement in it.
The second part of the meeting continued in interactive mode, where Niko Tatulishvili answered the audience’s questions.
