A round table meeting was held within the framework of the Ministry of Justice grant project “Strengthening the Protection of Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, Among the Displaced Youth Living in the Villages Near the Dividing Border Line”.
Nino Mindiashvili, Project Manager, introduced the activities implemented within the framework of the project, research results, developed recommendations, and presented the guiding principles introduced within the framework of the project to the attending community.
Tornike Cheishvili, Deputy Minister of Justice, Professor Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector of Caucasus International University, Nana Gabelia, Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Abkhazia, Professor Sesili Gogiberidze, Head of Scientific Research Department of Caucasus International University, Professor Lado Chelidze, Affiliated Researcher of the Folklore Research Center of the Faculty of Humanities at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Gul Mukerem Ozturk, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Georgian Language and Literature of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Recep Tayyip Erdogan University spoke about the importance of the grant project.
The project managed thanked the members of the “New Generation Bridge” student club involved in the project, project coordinators, trainers and project participants. In addition, Ms. Mindiashvili expressed her gratitude towards the Ministry of Justice for the grant initiative and the chancellor of Caucasus International University, Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, for co-funding the project and providing assistance.
At the end of the event, an educational-cognitive documentary film created within the framework of the project, prepared under the guidance of the head of the Multimedia Center of Caucasus International University and advisor to Chancellor, Nino Chalaganidze was shown to the audience.
The project, which is the winner of the Ministry of Justice and is co-funded by Caucasus International University, is managed by Associate Professor Nino Mindiashvili, Doctor of Philology, Head of the Doctoral Service at Caucasus International University, and the co-leaders are Revaz Berulava, Lawyer, Coordinator of Doctoral Programs of Caucasus International University and Nia Sadaghashvili, Sociologist, Caucasus International University Organizational Development Service Coordinator.
The event was attended by Manana Begiashvili, Head of Administration of the Ministry of Justice, George Khatidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Caucasus International University, Sophio Demetrashvili, Advisor to the Minister of Education and Culture of Abkhazia, Tinatin Nibloshvili, Deputy Chair of Tbilisi Municipality Council, Giorgi Osadze, Vice-Rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Ministry of Justice and Caucasus International University staff and invited guests.
