Educational, cognitive and scientific tour in Trapzon and Tao-Klarjeti was organized for doctoral students and professors of Doctoral Program in Political Science with the financial support of Caucasus International University and the initiative of Doctoral Service and the Faculty of Social Sciences on May 6-10. Within the framework of the event the participants visited important historical monuments: Sumela Monastery, Tbeti, Khandzta, Artanuji, Ishkhani, Doliskana, Otkhta, Eni Rabat, Kavkasidze Fortress, Akhisi Fortress, Nikhakhi Fortress, Oshki, Khakhuli, Tortum Fortress-City and Waterfall.
The tour participants were provided with comprehensive information about cultural monuments by Ketevan Shoshiashvili, Associate Professor of Caucasus International University, Doctor of History, staff of Doctoral Services. Within the framework of the same tour, a scientific seminar on global security issues was held for doctoral students, led by professors of Caucasus International University: Vakhtang Maisaia, Nika Chitadze, Alika Guchua. The significance of the issue has aroused great interest and interesting discussion. After the seminar, the Head of the Doctoral Service, Doctor of Philology Nino Mindiashvili addressed the audience with a concluding speech and thanked all the participants involved in the project.
Doctoral students and professors of the Doctoral Program in Political Science express their gratitude to the Chancellor of Caucasus International University for giving them opportunity to undertake an important cognitive scientific tour of historic Tao-Klarjeti.
