An international scientific symposium – “Law of Technologies and Digitalization of Law”” was held at Caucasus International University on March 30.
The scientific symposium was held in two panels - the first panel was about technology law, and the second panel was about digitalization of law.
The Rector of Caucasus International University, Kakhaber Kordzaia, addressed the participants and the attending audience with a welcome speech. The meeting was moderated by the Dean of CIU Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor, George Khatidze.
The speakers of the Law of Technologies panel at the scientific symposium presented the following papers:
“Legaltech for Employees”, Rafael Kneer, lawyer; “Social Media in Civil Procedural Law” - Sergi Jorbenadze, Associate Professor, Doctor of Law, lawyer, mediator; “The role of Technology Law in Digital Governance” - George Khatidze, Doctor of Law, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Law of Caucasus International University; “The Future of the Internet and Legal Challenges” - Levan Nanobashvili, managing partner of the legal company “NB Legal”; “Challenges of Legal Regulation of Artificial Intelligence” - Zviad Gabisonia, Doctor of Law, Professor.
The panel on Digitization of Law consisted of the following topics: “Legal Consultation with a Digital Bot” - Lado Sirdadze, BTU Associate Professor, law engineer; “Deep Learning and Algorithmization of Law” - Giorgi Zhorzholiani, lawyer, chief lawyer of law firm BSH, visiting lecturer of Tbilisi State University; “Article 230 of the US Decency Law and Its Impact on Georgia” - Nini Shengelia, Doctor of Law, visiting lecturer of Tbilisi State University.
The international scientific symposium was held in an interactive mode, where the audience had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers and participate in an active discussion.
