CIU hosted entrants’ award ceremony within the framework of School of International Politics and Diplomacy
CIU hosted entrants’ award ceremony within the framework of School of International Politics and Diplomacy on March 28.
The project, which took place on March 9-15, gave entrants the opportunity to receive information about the international relations profession from practicing specialists in the field and to make an informed choice.
The project participants were personally hosted by CIU Rector, Kakhaber Kordzaia, and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Nana Amiranashvili, the Head of the International Relations Program, Alika Guchua, and the lecturers/project speakers - Tamar Chiburdanidze and Giorgi Pareshishvili awarded certificates to the participants as well as additional investment from the university – 1000 GEL Digital Technology Course Voucher and 5000 GEL CIU CARD.
It should be noted that the project, which involved 210 students, is pioneering in Georgia in terms of format and content. Participants who were unable to attend the awards ceremony will receive their prizes electronically.
In total 6 online meetings were held within the framework of School of International Politics and Diplomacy:
- “Profession Diplomat”/ Mikheil Ukleba - diplomat, researcher at Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia;
- Georgia and International Organizations” / Vakhtang Maisaia – Doctor of Political Science, CIU Professor, Supervisor of Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security at CIU, Professor at the University of Warsaw and the College of Business and Entrepreneurship in Ostrowiec;
- “The Relationship between Religions and States in the World” / Giorgi Pareshishvili – Doctor of Political Science, Invited Lecturer, Advisor to CIU Rector, Chairman of Niko Nikoladze Society;
- “Conflict Regions and Peace Formats of Georgia” / Giorgi Antadze - Acting Director of the Research Center of the Parliament of Georgia, Director of Defense and Security of the analytical organization “GeoCase”;
- “The Art of Creating a Political Image and Public Speaking” / Tamar Chiburdanidze-Lomtadze - Doctor of Political Science, Chairman of the Demographic Revival Foundation of Georgia, Director of the Center for Political Branding and Problem Management, Assistant Professor at CIU;
- “Regional Collaboration Formats and Strategic Projects” / Alika Guchua - Doctor of Political Science, Board Member and Reviewer of USA International Academic Publishing IGI Global, Supervisor of CIU Undergraduate Program in International Relations, Associate Professor.
The content of the project is developed in active cooperation with partner organizations having international experience.
Project partners are:

- Georgian Institute for Geostrategic and Euro-Atlantic Integration Studies;
- Association of Young Experts.
