On April 24, within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, a training was held on the topic: “Modern Parasitic Threats to Human Health” for students of the foreign language and Georgian language educational programs of the Faculty of Medicine offered at Caucasus International University.
The main issues discussed at the meeting were: parasitic threats in the modern world, one health concept; Zoonotic filariasis affecting humans in endemic and non-endemic areas; parasitic diseases in immunocompromised hosts; Modern laboratory diagnostic methods used in parasitology.
The training was led by Dr. Maria Wesolowska, Professor of Wroclaw Medical University (Poland).
The participants were awarded appropriate certificates after the meeting.
