Caucasus International University shares the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the institutional level and promotes its implementation through the active involvement of scientific staff and students. Therefore, the university, together with partner private and state organizations, implements projects in the direction of supporting sustainable development goals.
The Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University is launching the Green Economy Ambassadors Program, the goal of which is to raise awareness about how to use natural resources wisely, reduce negative environmental impact, and promote green skills among young people.
Within the framework of the program, the Green Economy and Sustainable Development Week will be held, where the following events are planned:
November 21, 13:00 - Jean Marc Stavroulakis, Founder and Director of “Eliots”. Public lecture on the topic: “Harvesting Change: Food Waste Reduction and Transformative Initiatives in Georgia” (simultaneous translation will be provided, room #405)
November 21, 14:00 - CENN project manager Vakho Kochoradze’s seminar on the topic: “Green Economy - Sustainable Development” (room #405)
November 22, 14:00 - Seminar by Nino Latsabidze, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations and European Integration at the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia on the topic: “European Green Agreement” (room #405)
November 22, 15:00 - Karl Popper Debate Format on Green Economy Issues (room #401)
November 22, 16:00 - Nino Tabatadze, Acting Head of Education Projects Service at LEPL Environmental Information and Education Center, seminar on the topic “Climate Change and Sustainable Development” (room #405)
November 24, 15:00 – Natela Lagurashvili’s seminar on the topic: “Green Entrepreneurship” (room #405)
In addition, a clean-up campaign will be held within the week.
The debate is organized by: Magnum Opus Debating Club.
If the student participates in more than two seminars, s/he will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
