The supervisor of the undergraduate program in Tourism of the Faculty of Business and Technology of CIU, Associate Professor, Lali Mikeladze, was invited to the expert session of the field within the framework of the International Faculty Exchange Programme (IFEP) at Chandigarh University (India, Chandigarh University).

The University Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (UITHM) operates on the basis of the university, which combines the departments of hotel and hospitality, tourism and airlines, where the following programs are implemented: Undergraduate Program in Travel and Tourism; Undergraduate Program in Hotel and Hospitality Management; Undergraduate Program in Airline and Airport Management; Undergraduate Program in Culinary.
Within the framework of the visit, Lali Mikeladze’s lectures were held for undergraduate and postgraduate students on such topics as: “Tourism Policy, Goals, Missions and Functions of National and International Organizations”; “Planning Tourist Routes - Formation of Tourist Products”; Seminar for professors and students of tourism – “Sustainable Development Goals and Role in the Tourism Industry - Mission 2030”.
A meeting was held with the dean of the tourism department and the heads of the program about the challenges and opportunities of program development.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CIU and Chandigarh University, which provides opportunities for internationalization and collaboration in the future.
It should be noted that Chandigarh University Vice-Chancellor, Professor R.S. Bava awarded Lali Mikeladze with a certificate as a sign of gratitude for her interesting cooperation.
