On February 7-8, teenagers were brought from the schools in the occupied territory of Georgia and the events envisaged by the project were organized for them within the framework of the winning grant project of the Ministry of Justice, co-sponsored by Caucasus International University: “Strengthening the Protection of Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, among the Displaced Youth Living in the Villages Near the Dividing Border-Line”.
The project was supervised by Nino Mindiashvili, the head of the Doctoral Service at Caucasus International University, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor, Revaz Berulava, Lawyer, Coordinator of the Doctoral Programs at Caucasus International University, and Nia Sadaghashvili, Sociologist, Coordinator of the Organization Development Service of Caucasus International University, were co-supervisors.
The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia provided special assistance to the organizers of the project in bringing teenagers. Nana Gabelia, Minister met with the students, discussed the ministry policy, future visions as well as planned projects, and answered their questions.
Trainings on basic human rights were conducted for teenagers and members of the student club at Caucasus International University – “New Generation Bridge” by:

Sophio Demetrashvili, Advisor to the Minister of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Doctor of Law, PhD student of CIU Doctoral Program in Political Science (topic - Basic Human Rights and Freedoms);
Vasil Karseledze, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs of Tbilisi City Hall, PhDstudent of CIU Doctoral Program in Law (Topic – Children’s Basic Rights);
Davit Gvetadze, Head of the Strategic Communications Department of Caucasus International University, PhD student of CIU Doctoral Educational Program in Mass Communication (topic - Professional Orientation - How to Choose a Profession);
Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, Caucasus International University Chancellor, met the teenagers and welcomed them warmly, and Professor Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector, awarded them the certificates.
The guests visited CIU Multimedia Center, the Library, the faculties of Viticulture and Winemaking and Medicine. In addition, within the framework of the project, a historical-cognitive tour was held in old Tbilisi under the supervision of Keteven Shoshiashvili, Doctor of History, Associate Professor of Caucasus International University.
