The contest is announced from February 17, 2020.

In order to qualify for the academic position, applicants must submit the following documents from March 18, 2020 to March 21, 2020 to the committee:

1. Announcement to the contest committee, by indicating relevant field of study and academic position (it should be filled in on spot);

2. Autobiography (CV);

3. A copy of ID;

4. One photo;

5. Notarized copies of every educational documentation verifying the qualification;

Educational documents issued in a foreign country must be accompanied by a document of recognition in accordance with Georgian legislation;

6. Document/s certifying scientific-pedagogical experience;

7. List of scientific publications during the last five years;

8. A copy of documents certifying participation in international and local scientific conferences, certificate courses and trainings (under equal conditions, preference will be given to a candidate who had participated in more international scientific conferences, certificate courses and trainings);

9. Copies of documents verifying scientific scholarships and grants (if applicable).

In order to qualify for the academic position of Professor, the following documents are required:

• Academic degree of Doctor (Ph.D.) or its equivalent academic degree;
• At least 6 years of scientific-pedagogic experience at a higher educational institution;
• Author or co-author of scholarly articles published in the relevant specialty/field during the last 5 years;
• Participation in local and international conferences, seminars and training during the last 5 years;
• Conception (description) of the educational program, in the implementation of which the applicant is willing to participate;
• The vision of the courses that the applicant is willing to deliver after occupying an academic position;
• Practical experience in working out educational programs and syllabi.
• Under equal conditions, preference will be given to a contestant who will prove the knowledge of the English language.

In order to qualify for the academic position of Associate Professor, the following documents are required:

• Academic degree of Doctor (Ph.D.) or its equivalent academic degree;
• At least 3 years of scientific-pedagogic experience at a higher educational institution;
• Author or co-author of scholarly articles in specialty/field published during the last 5 years (under equal conditions preference will be given to candidates with more international publications);
• Participation in local and international conferences, seminars and training during the last 5 years;
• The vision of the courses that the applicant is willing to deliver after occupying an academic position;
• Practical experience in working out educational programs and syllabi.
• Under equal conditions, preference will be given to a contestant who will prove the knowledge of the English language.

In order to prove the qualification of a candidate applying for an academic position:

Professional experience in the field, at least 5-year practical experience in the relevant field. Under equal conditions, the candidate who is a Ph.D. student of the relevant program and has scientific-pedagogical work experience will be given the advantage;

Under equal conditions, preference will be given to a contestant who will prove the knowledge of the English language.

The contest will be held in two stages:

1. Short-listing candidates based on the submitted documents;
2. Interview of the selected candidates with the committee/conducting a mock lecture (if necessary).

Contest Terms and Conditions:

Contest application and appropriate documents must be submitted within the given deadlines;

The documents will be evaluated by the committee in order to define the correspondence of candidates’ applications with the main criteria.

The first stage of the contest will be conducted on March 23, 2020;

The second stage of the contest (if necessary) will be held on March 24, 2020;

The results will be announced on March 24, 2020.
