USMLE Preparation Program Webinar was held for Caucasus International University students of the Faculty of Medicine on March 30.
Mariam Mikadze, Head of USMLE Program, ECFMG Doctor of Medicine, discussed the general plan of the program and also shared her experience with the audience at the consultation meeting.
USMLE is the United States Medical Licencing Examination which is a three-step process. Students should pass USMLE step 1 and step 2 examinations to be able to apply to residency programs in the United States. Both examinations consist of multiple-choice questions (cases). Step 1 examination accesses basic science knowledge, whereas step 2 examination accesses the ability to apply medical knowledge, skills, and understanding of clinical science.
CIU USMLE preparation program will follow the program outline proposed on the official website of the USMLE and unite it with the knowledge and experience of supervisors, who have already taken the examinations. The course will provide, along with high-yield notes developed by experienced supervisors and multiple resources, sharing of complete basic knowledge where students will have access to all the resources needed to prepare for the examination.
At the webinar, medical students had the opportunity to ask questions to the speaker on issues that interested them. Each student received comprehensive information about the USMLE exams at the meeting.
