Caucasus International University continues to work actively for the internationalization of higher education, where CIU has achieved another success within the framework of its Doctoral Program in Law. A doctoral student in Law, Ana Gventsadze’s Cotutelle agreement was signed between Caucasus International University and the University of Poitiers (France).
Cotulette is often referred to as the “Joint Doctorate”. It includes research conducted by a doctoral student in at least two universities in two different countries, upon successful completion of which the doctoral student will be awarded a joint doctoral degree from both universities (“joint degree”) on the basis of only one doctoral dissertation.
Within the framework of "Cotutelle", doctoral student Ana Gventsadze will work on her dissertation in both universities equally, at Caucasus International University under the supervision of Mr. Zurab Chechelashvili, and at the University of Poitiers - under the supervision of Mr. Michel Budo. The final evaluation of the dissertation thesis will be conducted jointly, with the involvement of partner universities.
It should be noted that on June 13-17, 2022, PhD student Ana Gventsadze will participate in a conference organized by the Institute for Political Studies (Sciences Po) in Paris on behalf of Caucasus International University and the University of Poitiers, which is part of the Intensive Doctoral Week.
Cotutelle is actively used in leading European Universities, is a tool for the internationalization of doctoral studies.
