Caucasus International University hosted Aleksandre Jejelava’s public lecture on the topic: “Success in the 21st Century” on November 21. The event was organized by the Faculty of Business.
“Success is associated with growth. You need to find out what kind of growth makes you happy. Different people are interested in different things at different times. In the 21st century, knowing the facts is important, but more valuable is developing the skills necessary for success. People should teach to study”, - stated Aleksandre Jejelava.
The speaker placed emphasis on literacy from the skills of the 21st century, which he divided into 3 parts - information literacy (drawing conclusions from a lot of information, grouping, critical analysis); media literacy (ability to navigate media); Technological literacy (ability to master modern technologies). He also noted that social skills are important for success. In addition, he discussed the ability to be flexible, which is very important in a rapidly changing environment where your knowledge can disappear with time, therefore, you have to be flexible to keep up with new trends.
“I should have a diploma in what the environment needs, I should be a star in what I want,” noted Aleksandre Jejelava.
After the keynote speech, the speaker answered the questions from the audience.
The lecture was opened by Kakhaber Kordzaia, CIU Rector and it was moderated by Giorgi Abashishvili, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technologies.
Aleksandre Jejelava is a trainer, speaker, coach and has been working in managerial positions in various sectors for 25 years.
