The scientific discussion – Notion of Social Law and its Challenges in Modern Society will be organized by the Faculty of Law at Caucasus International University on November 29.
Maternity, illness, disability, invalidity, widowhood, orphanhood, and involuntary unemployment. Livelihood disruptions that affect us all. The legal framework for benefits in these situations is provided by social law also known as social security law, social protection law. It can be considered, both as system of normative regulation and as a legal discipline. The academic conference aims to explore the concept, sources and content of this legal discipline discussing issues such as right to social security, new challenges in the light of the social and economic changes, and present German, Hungarian, and Georgian approaches.
