A memorandum of understanding was signed between Caucasus International University and Georgian National Competition Agency at the Sheraton Metekhi Palace Hotel on November 17.
The memorandum was signed by the rector of Caucasus International University, Kakhaber Kordzaia, and the chairman of the National Competition Agency of Georgia, Irakli Lekvinadze. The aim of the memorandum is to promote the professional development of students and train qualified personnel through the implementation of joint events, projects, researches and initiatives.
It should be noted that the dean of the faculty of Business and Technology at Caucasus International University, the director of the economic direction of “Geocase”, Giorgi Abashishvili, moderated the opening panel of the first international conference on competition and consumer rights in Georgia. The heads of five market regulatory agencies - National Competition Agency of Georgia, GNERC, National Bank of Georgia, Communications Commission of Georgia and State Insurance Supervision Service participated in it.
Within the framework of the two-day conference, the features of competition policy and sustainable development, legal guarantees of consumer rights protection and the enforcement process will be discussed.
Delegations from 20 countries take part in the international conference, along with representatives of government and parliamentary teams, diplomatic corps, friendly countries, business, non-governmental and academic sectors and specialists in the field.
