The training “Commercial Mediation and Business Law” was held at the Faculty of Law of Caucasus International University on November 7-11. Within the framework of the training, students interested in mediation studied such issues as: the essence of mediation, the role of the mediator, the stages of mediation, the peculiarities of conducting the mediation process and the skills of the mediator. In addition, the importance of the role of the representative in the mediation process was discussed by practicing lawyers. The training, in addition to talking about judicial and private mediation, was devoted to the discussion of the features of notarial mediation and its practice. A discussion was organized on the opportunities and challenges that will promote the active use of the Mediation Institute by citizens. In the part of business law, the speakers discussed such international and local cases that served to resolve disputes through mediation. At the final stage, simulated mediation role-plays were organized.
