A summer school of political education was opened at Caucasus International University on 27 June.
Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to CIU Rector, Nana Amiranashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Alika Guchua, Supervisor of Undergraduate Program in International Relations, Head of Summer School, delivered welcoming speeches at the event.
The first day of the school started with a lecture by Tamar Kiknadze, Associate Professor, Doctor of Political Science on the topic: “Introduction to Political Science”, and the second half of the day was dedicated to a lecture by Zaza Tsotniashvili, Professor, Doctor of Social Sciences on “Media Coverage of Political Events”.
The lectures were interactive and distinguished by the participants’ intense engagement.
Up to 40 students from Caucasus International University and various Georgian universities are participating in the Summer School of Political Education. The course includes 8 lectures during a week, and an educational-cognitive excursion is planned at the end.
