“Winter School of Diplomacy and International Relations” was opened at Caucasus International University on February 6.
Kakhaber Kordzaia, CIU Rector, Tamara Tsuleiskiri, Head of the Information Center on NATO and EU, Davit Esatia, Georgian Youth Representative to the UN, and Gocha Javakhishvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to France, welcomed the participants of the school.
The event was moderated by Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to CIU Rector, curator of the winter school.
Within the framework of the school, the first lecture was delivered by Vakhtang Maisaya, Doctor of Political Sciences, professor of Caucasus International University and Warsaw State University.
The presenter spoke on the topic: “Analysis of Foreign Policy and Its Features”. The lecture covered such issues as: foreign policy; foreign political decision-making models; Political analysis of the process and evaluation levels.
Within the framework of the lecture, along with theoretical issues, the students of the school also completed practical tasks.
Caucasus International University implements the "Winter School of Diplomacy and International Relations” with the support of the Information Center on NATO and EU. In addition, the supporter of the project is Georgian Youth Representative to the United Nations.
It should be noted that about 310 applications were received within the framework of the school, from which the organizing committee selected about 50 participants. Lecturers and experts in the field will deliver lectures to the participants about foreign policy, diplomacy, security, conflicts and other topical issues for 5 days, and the last day of the school will be for field activities.
