A training course in labor laws started at Caucasus International University on May 3. The course is led by Nino Jolia, Doctor of Economics and Head of Legal Advisory Department at Grant Thornton Georgia, an international auditing and consulting company with 15+ years of experience in business law.
The first two meetings were dedicated to the introduction of the legislation regulating labor relations, as well as the discussion of such issues as the concept of discrimination in labor relations, personal data processing, full-time and part-time work, the importance of labor regulations and the scope of regulation. Course participants have the opportunity to review practical and realistic cases in question-answer mode.
Three more meetings are planned within the framework of the training course, which will place emphasis on the following issues: overtime work and its remuneration rules, vacation, maternity leave, collective labor relations, mass dismissals, consultation procedures, labor inspection competence, as well as scope of supervision and responsibilities, etc.
Each participant will be awarded a certificate upon the completion of the course.
