A wine tourism certificate training course is being conducted at Caucasus International University. The training is a joint project of Caucasus International University (CIU), Georgian EnoTourism Association (GETA) and Georgian Gastronomy Association (GAG), led by Georgian and Spanish trainers.
Within the framework of the course, the participants studied the history of wine tourism from an international point of view; How wine tourism products are created and marketed; Marketing of wine tourism, segmentation of visitors, creation of service culture and also the art of wine tasting, within which practical exercises to improve sensorics were performed.
There are three more meetings left within the framework of the course, where the participants will learn wine tasting and serving in practice. Also, within the framework of gastronomic tourism, a master class will be held - pairing Georgian cheese with Georgian wine.
The last contact meeting of the training course will be held in “Iagos Winery” (Chardakh village of Mtskheti municipality), where they will visit the wine cellar, taste the wine and hear the experience of an experienced winemaker. The final exam will be held here, as a result of which the four successful trainees will go to Spain for a free two-week professional practice.
It should be noted that all participants of the course will receive a bilingual certificate of Caucasus International University (CIU), the Georgian Wine Tourism Association (GETA) and the Georgian Gastronomy Association (GAG).
