The Student Conference – “Perspectives of Tourism Development in Georgia and Strategic Aims” was held at Expo-Georgia, 3rd Pavilion. The event was organized by Georgian National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
The conference was opened by Giorgi Chogovadze, Head of Georgian National Tourism Administration and greeted 20 participants of the conference, the supervisors of their works and the attending audience.
CIU students specializing in Tourism are constantly participating in the above mentioned conference. Third year student Tamar Gabisonia with the topic “Public and Private Sector Partnership in Tetrtskaro Tourism Region” presented in front of the committee this year.
By the decision of the competent committee, the names of the three prize winners were revealed towards the end of the conference working day. Tamar Gabisonia was one of them. CIU student took the third place.
We would like to remind you that the members of the conference committee were – Shalva khetsuriani, founder and a President of Georgian Sommelier Association, Keti Meladze, Chairman of Georgian Hotel and Restaurant Federation and founder of Guides Association of Georgia, Nana Kekelidze, Director of Discover Georgia and Giorgi Bregadze, Head of Research and Planning Department at Georgian National Tourism Administration.
