Three-day training “General Course in Journalism” for school pupils have been organized by National Youth and Children’s Palace Media Studio “Time” in partnership with Caucasus International University.
Caucasus International University hosted the concluding meeting of the training on 30 June, 2016.
The aim of the “General Course in Journalism” was to familiarize pupils with different mass media means and establish journalistic skills such as: finding and processing information, preparing newspaper articles and news, interviewing, preparing videos and working on a blog with the assistance of the successful people dealing with the sphere of journalism.
The training was conducted by the leading Professors of Caucasus International University specializing in Journalism such as Nino Chalaganidze, Sulkhan Meladze and Rusudan Kvaratskhelia on the third day. The training covered the following issues: “Multimedia”, “Types of preparing TV Programmes” and “Visual Media”.
Upon the completion of the event participants have been awarded certificates and the trainers and Rector have received Letter of Gratitude from the University Chancellor Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze and Deputy Director of Youth Palace, Maya Chimakadze.
The pupils became familiar with the activities of the University Multimedia Centre, visited Television and Radio studios and installation centre after the training.
The event lasted for three days. The first day was held at the National Youth and Children’s Palace, and the second day at Ilia Chavchavadze’s Museum.
The above mentioned activity has been implemented within the framework of the memorandum of mutual collaboration signed between Caucasus International University and National Youth and Children’s Palace.
